Who we are

The Directorate-General for Security and Safety’s (DG SAFE) mission is to ensure the safety of people and property within the European Parliament, in all three workplaces (Brussels, Strasbourg, Luxembourg), including fire, panic and first aid prevention. It shall endeavour to minimise the existing level of security risk in order to provide a safe and serene working environment for the services of the Institution and its Members while allowing the European Parliament to maintain the openness and transparency that characterise it.

The Training Unit, based in Brussels, is responsible, amongst others, for developing the programme of professionalisation of security staff and the management of talents, tailored to the needs of DG SAFE.

 

Your tasks

You will provide support within the team in charge of training. This will involve:

  • Contributing to the creation of tailor-made courses both onsite and online, according to staff needs;
  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis results;
  • Knowledge control monitoring of staff;
  • Systematic communication with the trainers.

 

You are

  • With training and/or experience in adult learning, psychology, digital communication or in the security field, the successful candidate will have an interest in training;
  • Working as part of a team, discretion and respect for confidentiality are essential qualities;
  • Meticulous and with very good writing skills, the chosen candidate will be familiar with administrative tasks as well as being a good communicator and having a good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • In order to assist in creation of different training materials, experience with video production, digital communication or vlogging would be an asset;
  • The candidate will have a good command of French and/or English.
