Publishing Support and Visual Projects Unit - Clients and Projects Service

The Directorate-General for Innovation and Technological Support (DG ITEC) provides the European Parliament (EP) with information and communication technology services as well as printing and distribution services.  

The Publishing Support and Visual Projects Unit (PUBLIPRO) has as mission to support Members, Political Groups and the Secretariat General in the area of design, visuals and print. The PUBLIPRO Unit is looking to fill a traineeship position within our design team.

Assisting our graphic designers, the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to:  

• Design and develop print and digital content in line with the EP graphical guidelines;  
• Manage and liaise with clients in order to clarify briefs, follow up on projects, provide advice and inform clients of graphic rules; 
• Support the unit's transition to digital publishing, with special regard to accessibility; 
• Gain experience working in a team of graphic design experts.    

The successful candidate should have:

• Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (at least InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop);
• Good communication skills,  - Interest in new technology and the desire to constantly learn and improve;
• Knowledge of accessibility and front-end development (HTML, CSS) is considered an asset.
