Who we are
The Directorate-General for Innovation and Technological Support (DG ITEC) provides the European Parliament with information and communication technology services as well as printing and distribution services.
The Members' Digital Experience Unit's goal is to improve the experience of the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and their offices regarding IT systems. We take care of the first line and on-site IT support for Members and their offices (assistants, local assistants, etc.) and we raise IT-awareness about the solutions available for our target population to work efficiently, anytime and anywhere.
Your tasks
The successful candidate will be involved in projects, proposals of innovative solutions and will be involved in:
- Assisting in software and machine learning model development;
- Conducting data analysis and visualization;
- Maintaining web scraping scripts;
- Preparing technical documentation and reports.
The selected candidate will also be part of a specific project related to predictive analytics. Depending on the unit's workload and the selected candidate's previous experience, the tasks will be adjusted, taking into account the above-mentioned topics.
You are
- Educational Background: Recent graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field;
- Programming Skills: Knowledge in Python or R, with experience in data analysis and machine learning libraries;
- AI and Machine Learning: Hands-on experience with machine learning models and dataset management;
- Web Scraping: Skilled in developing and maintaining web scraping scripts for data extraction;
- Technical Documentation: Capable of producing technical documentation and reports;
- Language Skills: Written and spoken fluency in English is a requirement; knowledge of German or French is a plus.
