Who we are

The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) is the multilingual conference service hub of the European Parliament. Our mission is to enable the European Parliament to achieve its political objectives by providing linguistic, technical and logistical support to meetings and conferences. Our services support the democratic legitimacy of the Institution by helping the Members of Parliament get their message across in any of the official languages. We thus enable the legislative process and make it accessible to the citizens of Europe. This makes DG LINC a very dynamic, collaborative, and unique place of work, with opportunities for connecting with different actors across the Parliament. The Communications and Outreach Unit of DG LINC is a friendly and dynamic team. The Unit is responsible for internal and external communication, including targeted communication, awareness raising campaigns and events both online and on-site.

 

Your tasks

Your main tasks will include:

  • Updating of the content on our intranet;
  • Creating images, videos and podcasts, helping create content for online and off-line communications and branding materials;
  • Crafting articles, proofreading, graphic design;
  • Creating content for the social media channels of DG LINC  Facebook - Twitter - Instagram - LinkedIn.

You will also have the chance to be involved in the organisation of multilingual events and activities.

You are

  • Enthusiastic about the European Parliament and the values it represents;
  • A team player who is eager to learn and share knowledge in a small, friendly and motivated team;
  • You are creative, committed to a story-telling approach, have excellent communication skills, are deadline orientated and at ease in a multicultural environment;
  • You take initiative and do not shy away from a challenge;
  • You have perfect command of English and/or French;
  • Specific knowledge of or experience with web content management systems is required;
  • Knowledge of software like the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and other video and podcast editing software will be considered an asset.
