Who we are

The Directorate General for Internal Policies of the Union (DG IPOL) is responsible for organising the work of Parliament's committees dealing with internal policies and for assisting Members in the exercise of the legislative, budgetary and oversight powers conferred upon the European Parliament.

The Legislative Coordination and Programming Unit of DG IPOL is responsible for the secretariat of the Conference of Committee Chairs (CCC), one of the political bodies of the European Parliament, and has a horizontal coordination and support function for all the committee secretariats in organisational, procedural and institutional questions.

 

Your tasks

Assisting the administrators in charge of managing the European Parliament's Political Work programme.

The major responsibilities included the monitoring of the legislative programming and initiatives and, in cooperation with the committee secretariats, the structured collection of possible key legislative initiatives and policy priorities. In this context, the person also contributes to the preparation of the presentation of the results to the relevant colleagues in the European Parliament.

 

You are

  • Team player, willing to step in to help colleagues.

You have:

  • University graduate in legal, economic, political sciences or cultural sciences. Post-graduate studies are a plus;
  • Preferably have some previous experience abroad (studies, traineeship, living, working);
  • Very good command of English plus at least one other language.
