Who we are

The Directorate-General for Innovation and Technological Support (DG ITEC) provides the European Parliament with information and communications technology services as well as document production, printing and distribution services. The Directorate-General for Innovation and Technological Support (DG ITEC) uses innovation and technology to support the European Parliament in its legislative work as well as Members, Political Groups and staff in their day-to-day activities.

The Corporate Systems (CORPORIT) Unit's mission is to provide IT systems to all Parliament's stakeholders for all business domains outside the legislative core activities. 

​The CORPORIT Unit consists of the following services:

  • Central Systems (CENTSYS)
  • Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERPSYS)
  • Administration Systems (ADMINSYS)
  • Web Systems (WEBSYS)​

This post is set in the CENTSYS service.

The CENTSYS service is in charge of development and maintenance projects in the area of central solutions serving the whole Parliament.  The portfolio includes IT solutions that directly provide services such as electronic record management, electronic signature, electronic delivery, reporting, data protection, meetings and interpretation management. The service is also in charge of cross-departmental and cross-DG initiatives to fight obsolescence and coordinate releases and deployments.

This post is related to delivering the Enterprise Records Management System addressing the needs of the European Parliament governance bodies.

 

Your tasks

  • Participating in the support and evolution of the IT solutions related to the management of administrative records and documents;
  • Activities focused on project delivering an Enterprise Records Management System addressing the needs of the European Parliament governance bodies;
  • Preparing and ensuring that 1st and 2nd line support procedures are correct, documented and available to the support;
  • Exposure to various aspects of IT and will actively participate in intra-departments meetings;
  • Possibility to develop analysis and ICT skills, assisting team leaders and project managers;
  • Assisting in the rollout of the application.

  Educational Background: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred;
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered.

  Technical Skills: 

  • Good understanding of IT concepts and terminology;
  • Understanding of testing methodologies;
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.

  Desired Experience (Optional)

  • Exposure to IT environments;
  • Knowledge of development tools;
  • Knowledge of Documentum and or Angular is welcomed.
