Who we are

The Directorate-General for Innovation and Technological Support (DG ITEC) provides the European Parliament with information and communication technology services as well as printing and distribution services.

The User Support Unit in DG ITEC has the mission of providing, directly or through the unit “e-MEP”, Members, their assistants and European Parliament staff with high-quality IT support services, enabling them to work in an efficient way, anytime and anywhere, within a framework of ITIL service management.

The Quality Service within the unit (SERVQUAL) promotes best practices, measures the quality of the unit's services and provides the means to contribute to their improvement using the ServiceNow platform as a tool for service management and reporting. 

 

Your tasks

The trainee will work closely with the other members of the team supporting and developing the ServiceNow platform to:

  • Perform software testing in the ServiceNow management platform (Requirement analysis, Test planning, Test case development, Test environment setup, Test execution, and Test reporting);
  • Assist in writing technical specifications and documentation;
  • Collaborate with project and product managers to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements for the ServiceNow platform;
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct training sessions to enable users to effectively utilise the ServiceNow platform.  

 

You are

The successful candidate should have/be:

  • IT background, be familiar with development and testing of IT solutions. Experience in ServiceNow and/or other Service Management tools would be an asset;
  • Excellent ability to analyse, communicate, report and solve problems. The ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in different IT communities will be required;
  • We expect the person to be proactive. ITIL certification and experience in User Support will be an asset;
  • Strong skills in English or French are required. Good knowledge of the other language (French or English) would be an asset.
