The European Parliament stands for European democracy. We help connect it to people.  

This entails providing complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament (EP), and assisting Members in their communication activities. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach and engage the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

The Directorate for Liaison Offices (EPLOs) is the DG COMM's front line in the Member States. The offices connect to citizens across the European Union, engaging with their concerns, understanding their cultures and speaking their languages, in order to make that vital connection between the European Parliament and the diverse local realities it represents. The offices are playing a crucial role in spreading the knowledge of what the European Parliament is working on and has achieved as well as engaging with citizens and various stakeholders.

 

Your tasks

  • Support the Head of the Office and other EPLO's staff in organisation of communication activities of the Office;
  • Support the press officers in preparation of seminars, briefings and information for media;
  • Support staff responsible for contacts with citizens and partners other than media, including management of the Office's general mailbox;
  • Support staff responsible for social media and EPLO’s website;
  • Support in organisation of events run by the EP and EPLO;
  • Support the staff responsible for distribution of information and promotional materials as well as contacts with Europe Direct Info Centres.

 

You are

  • Self-motivated, responsible and a hard-working person;
  • An enthusiastic team player but you can also work on your own when needed;
  • You have an excellent command of Polish and a very good command of English;
  • You have a general knowledge of and are interested in the EU affairs and modern communication tools;
  • You have an excellent command of MS Office tools.
