Who we are

The European Parliament stands for European democracy. We help connect it to people.  

This entails providing complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament, and assisting Members in their communication activities. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach and engage the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

The Directorate for Liaison Offices (EPLOs) is the DG COMM's front line in the Member States. The offices connect to citizens across the European Union, engaging with their concerns, understanding their cultures and speaking their languages, in order to make that vital connection between the European Parliament and the diverse local realities it represents. The offices are playing a crucial role in spreading the knowledge of what the European Parliament is working on and has achieved as well as engaging with citizens and various stakeholders.

 

Your tasks

  • Supporting in preparation and organization of public events and public debates;
  • Contributing to management of EPLO's social media, creating and updating website content;
  • Drafting texts for EPLO’s website;
  • Contributing to database administration;
  • Contributing to office management tasks;
  • Preparing draft reports on selected and annual EPLO's activities;
  • Assisting in preparation of public tenders documentation;
  • Conducting research on various topics;
  • Preparing presentations on given topics.

 

You are

We are looking for young, committed Europeans willing to support the European Parliament Liaison Office in Wrocław (Poland).

From the candidates we are expecting:

  • An excellent knowledge of Polish and English;
  • Proficiency in managing social media tools. We want you to help us in organising events (also virtual) and in current relations with media, stakeholders and citizens.
  • Creativity;
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Ability to multitask; 
  • Knowledge of the current political issues in the European Union.
