If you would like to gain experience in the field of human resources within a large multicultural organisation such as the European Parliament, apply for one of the traineeships in DG PERS!

The Directorate-General for Personnel (DG PERS) is broadly responsible for managing the human resources of the European Parliament's Secretariat, so that it can provide the Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) with the assistance they need to fulfil their mandate.

More specifically, DG PERS manages the different groups of staff throughout their career, in areas such as:

  • Selection, recruitment, entry, training, career development;
  • Management of rights and obligations, salary, allowances, pension rights;
  • Protection and well-being at work;
  • Strategies to improve and promote equality and diversity;
  • Management of trainees;
  • Internal communication in the institution.

We are the Medical Leave Service and we do the following tasks:

  • Management of the agents' sick leave requests;
  • The early follow-up of colleagues in longer absence and support for their reintegration at work;
  • Launching of Invalidity Procedures;
  • Absenteeism control and the preparation of periodic reports on these issues.

 

Your tasks

  • To study the absenteeism statistics in the EU;
  • Help to study the main causes of absenteeism in the EP;
  • Help to analyse the absenteeism statistics in the EP.

 

You are

  • You have a medical degree and you are interested in sick leave and absenteeism follow-up;
  • You are fluent in English and French;
  • You are organised and know how to prioritise tasks;
  • You able to work in a team;
  • You have good IT skills and good knowledge of IT tools.
