Who we are

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) contributes to the effective technical and administrative management of infrastructure and logistics (catering, mail, removals, furniture, transport, etc.) within and between the Parliament's workplaces. Our DG is also responsible for managing the equipment and services necessary for the functionality of these buildings. Through their efforts, the staff of DG INLO provides essential support for the European Parliament's political activities.

More particularly, the Communication Unit in the Directorate for Resources prepares and implements the communication plan of DG INLO. It ensures our communications are clear, transparent, and accessible to a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. It organises and implements communication actions to promote DG INLO actions and the vast array of projects that form the European Parliament’s building legacy.

Your tasks

The intern will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with the staff in charge of implementing and overseeing the implementation of DG INLO’s communication plan, employing a multichannel approach while leading and supporting various campaigns and initiatives, including communications, online posts, brochures, and publications. Activities include monitoring and analysing stakeholder feedback, ensuring adherence to editorial and design guidelines as per EP's brand book, ensuring digital accessibility and compliance with data protection standards, as well as analysing metrics and web analytics. Collaboration is key, both internally with DG INLO units and externally with other DGs of the European Parliament.

Tasks also include support to team members in the above-mentioned activities, and organisation of meetings, drafting of documents and minutes of meetings, etc..

 

You are

The recruited candidate should:

  • Speak and write in English and/or French at a C2 level (German is an asset);
  • Have good communication skills including the ability to simplify technical concepts into clear language;
  • Have experience in web communication activities;
  • Have willingness to learn, ability to work independently and within a team;
  • Have knowledge of video editing software (not essential).
