Who we are

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) contributes to the effective technical and administrative management of infrastructure and logistics (catering, mail, removals, furniture, transport, etc.) within and between the Parliament's workplaces. Our DG is also responsible for managing the equipment and services necessary for the functionality of these buildings. Through their efforts, the staff of DG INLO provides essential support for the European Parliament's political activities. 

Within DG INLO, the Strasbourg Buildings Management and Maintenance Unit is responsible of a property of the European Parliament of 360 000m^2, divided in 6 buildings in Strasbourg and is in charge of:       

  • Follow up the maintenance of the technical equipment and of completion works;
  • Follow up of build related services;
  • Organisation and follow up of works (space reallocation with functionality change, refurbishment, technical update of the equipment,..);  
  • Ensure a daily service to the building end-users regarding quality of the premises (temperature, humidity, cleaning, keys, floors & walls covering, false ceiling,..);
  • Creation of BIM models from existing buildings with maintenance data working in a collaborate method.

 

Your tasks

You will be joining the planotheque/BIM Service (team of 6 members) within the Unit.

Your main tasks will be:   

  • Creating MEP (Mechanical, Electricity and Plumbing) models on Revit 2023 of the existing buildings, respecting the BIM chart defined for the European Parliament;
  • Updating the Common Data Environment Platform on M-files and SharePoint.

You can also assist with:

  • Updating ARC (Architectural) models;
  • Update the BIM Library;
  • Automatisation of data base with Dynamo, Excel or Power BI
  • Verification and uploading the As-Built BIM from projects.

 

You are

Motivated and proactive, the ideal candidate should demonstrate good communication skills and be result oriented.

A good knowledge of buildings techniques is required.

  • Candidate background: An engineer with knowledge of technical computer modelling;
  • Experience: no professional experience required;
  • Language: English and/or French is required. French is used on a daily basis;
  • IT skills: knowledge of MS Office, Autocad, Revit is required.
