Who we are

The Directorate-General for Logistics and Interpretation for Conferences (DG LINC) is the European Parliament’s multilingual conference service hub and a global leader in the field of conference interpretation and management. We support the democratic legitimacy of the Institution by helping Members of Parliament to get their message across in any of the official EU languages, thus enabling the legislative process and making it accessible to the citizens of Europe. This makes DG LINC a very dynamic and collaborative place to work, offering various opportunities for connecting internally and with all those taking part in the legislative process. If you like a challenge and are a team player, DG LINC could be a great place for you to do a traineeship.

The Strasbourg Conference Unit’s (SCU) mandate is to promote democratic debate outside plenary sessions and to further develop its capacity to co-organise conferences as well as cultural and high-level events at the seat of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The Unit provides a holistic conference offer to civil society and youth organisations outside part-sessions with the objective to evolve the seat of the European Parliament into a Citizens’ Hub. Furthermore, it welcomes high-level conferences of institutional weight in the premises of the European Parliament. Finally, the unit is involved in outreach activities towards potential partners from civil society and other stakeholders via several communication channels and tools.
