Who we are

The European Parliament stands for European democracy. We help connect it to people.

This entails providing complete and impartial information to citizens and media about the European Parliament, and assisting Members in their communication activities. The Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) strives to reach and engage the right audience with the right message at the right time and in doing so, deliver world-class communication. We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

The Civil Society Outreach Unit collaborates with civil society, private and public companies, partners, stakeholders and engaged individuals. We are building close relationships to create networks of multipliers and to encourage them to disseminate our campaigns and messages to their own audiences and to actively engage with the European Parliament.

As a trainee working for the LUX Audience Award project, you will be participating in the organisation of events (such as screenings and an award ceremony) and will be assisting with the overall coordination. You will be in charge of copywriting draft publications for the website and assisting the social media manager.

You will also have the possibility to contribute to reporting on the outreach of events and campaigns by collecting and analysing relevant data and make recommendations accordingly.

Last but not least, you will have the opportunity to discover the world of screening rights negotiations by being involved in processing screening requests from EP's liaison offices.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone with good organisational and coordinating skills.
