Who we are

The Directorate-General for Internal Policies of the Union (DG IPOL) is responsible for organising the work of the Parliament’s committees dealing with the EU’s internal policies, and for assisting Members in the exercise of the legislative, budgetary and oversight powers conferred upon the European Parliament.

The Editorial Unit supports all the Committees in their dissemination activities, from websites and newsletters, to publications and events. We want to be sure that the core business of the Parliament’s committees is accessible to citizens and stakeholders. To do so, we cooperate with many other services and DGs. We are responsible for the communication channels of DG IPOL, and within this framework we also manage DG IPOL’s internal communication within the DG and across the Parliament.

Our activities can be divided in three groups:

  1. Internal communication;
  2.  External communication ;
  3. Liaison/partnership.

The Editorial Unit works within these three groups and the graphic design support is transversal across all three.
