Who we are

The Directorate-General for Parliamentary Democracy Partnerships (DG PART) is a Directorate-General created with the objective to streamline the promotion and upholding of parliamentary democracy in Europe and beyond, by fostering cooperation with national parliaments and coordinating efforts made by the Parliament liaison offices and representations outside the European Union.

The Strategy and Communications Unit reports directly to the Director-General and is responsible for a number of horizontal reporting and strategic planning tasks as well as planning and implementing the communication activities of the Directorate-General.

As a horizontal unit, the Strategy and Communications Unit coordinates the Directorate-General’s contributions to institutional projects and follows up on projects that DG PART shares with other Directorates-General. It works with partners and stakeholders to strengthen communication about the European Parliament’s activities within the areas of responsibility of DG PART and also produces content for internal and external communication.

  • Provide support in editing reports, newsletters and articles;

The trainee should rapidly acquire a good knowledge of Parliament's structure and functioning, in order to contribute to tasks linked to strategy and communications, in interaction with other Units in DG PART and other Directorates-General.

Some tasks of a practical and administrative nature can be expected, especially in view of the fact that both the Unit and the Directorate-General itself are recently established structures.
