Communication Unit - open also for vocational education qualification holders

The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics (DG INLO) is responsible for overseeing the European Parliament's vast infrastructure portfolio, which spans around 1.3 million square meters of building space across Europe. This includes a variety of tasks that are crucial to ensuring the smooth functioning and sustainability of the Parliament's operations. DG INLO's responsibilities go beyond just building management; it is also in charge of a range of essential services such as catering, mail distribution, furniture management, and transport for Parliament Members and staff. This comprehensive approach ensures that all physical and logistical needs are met, supporting the European Parliament’s political activities in a sustainable way.

The mission of the Communication Unit is to foster clear internal communication, ensuring that colleagues and beneficiaries of DG INLO’s services are well informed and engaged.

In the context of the development of its activities, the Communication Unit of DG INLO is looking for a graduate in journalism or a person with a master’s degree in media and journalism.

Tasks will include:

• Preparation of video and digital materials
• Preparation of internal notices and communications
• Drafting articles and press texts
• Production of graphic and design materials, posters, logos

You have:

• audiovisual and video production skills
• journalist background and media knowledge
• experience in graphic and design production using design programs, and drawing skills

English and/or German native an asset.

You have obtained a Vocational education qualification (EQF level 3, 4 or 5) or a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.
