Your tasks
As a trainee within the Human resources and Organisation Unit, you will work at the intersection of data, technology and human resources. Your focus will be on building and improving the digital tools that support HR management: dashboards, structured data, automated processes and AI-assisted applications. You will be involved in:
- Designing and building dashboards on HR indicators (recruitment follow-up, time-to-hire, staffing forecasts, staff accounting, use of training, teleworking, etc.);
- Consolidating and structuring HR data currently dispersed across different files and systems, agreeing common definitions and setting up extractions that can be repeated rather than redone by hand,
- Devising ways to automate data handling and recurring workflows, replacing manual and repetitive steps by reliable automated routines;
- Developing the use of AI to support the HR function, for example an assistant answering recurring questions on HR rules and procedures, drafting support for HR texts such as vacancy notices, and testing whether such tools are reliable enough to be used;
- Ensuring that what you build lasts beyond the traineeship, by handling HR data in line with confidentiality requirements, documenting your solutions and helping colleagues to use them autonomously.
You are
- A university graduate with an academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics or a related technical field;
- You have genuinely interested in HR and in how organisations manage and develop their people, and motivated to apply your technical skills to this field;
- A practical, solution-oriented person who enjoys turning concrete business needs into simple, reliable and usable digital solutions;
- Comfortable working with data and data visualisation;
- Interested in process improvement with the ability to propose pragmatic ways to simplify or automate them;
- Proactive about artificial intelligence and its concrete applications, with a realistic understanding of what these tools can and cannot yet do reliably;
- Attentive to data quality and to the responsible handling of personal and confidential data, aware that HR data concerns people and not only records;
- Comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-specialists and working iteratively with colleagues to refine solutions based on feedback;
- Autonomous, resourceful and willing to take ownership of tasks;
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and to bring fresh ideas while remaining pragmatic about implementation;
- Fluent in English and/or French, our main working languages (knowledge of other EU languages is an asset);
- You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship.
