Who we are

As the voice of citizens, the European Parliament stands for European democracy. Directorate-General for Communication (DG COMM) amplifies its message of the Parliament to reach every corner of Europe. We help connect Members of Parliament to the people they represent, and we communicate what the Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for. When Parliament speaks, we make sure it’s heard.

We are committed communication professionals coming from various professional and academic backgrounds.

The Multipliers Outreach Unit (MOU) forms a core pillar of DG COMM’s in-house communication agency as represented by the Directorate for Outreach. Its purpose is to build, maintain and continuously engage with a network of multipliers to support the European Parliament’s communication on what Parliament does (budget, legislation and scrutiny), what it is (its role in EU decision making) and what it stands for (democracy and European values). At the MOU, we specifically engage and collaborate with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).

Your tasks

You will have the opportunity to work on several projects within the Unit that are focusing on activating pan-European civil society organisations to communicate about Parliament’s activities, values and goals to their audiences and networks. Ultimately, contributing to ensure that people across Europe understand what the European Parliament is, what it does, and what it stands for.

Your tasks will consist of public relations and stakeholder management. Specifically: stakeholders mapping, email marketing, calendar management, assisting in meetings with stakeholders, assisting in internal meetings as well as cross-unit meetings and identifying dissemination opportunities across different sectors.

Moreover, you will assist at communication tasks such as drafting newsletters, communication materials, events invitations, social media listening and monitoring via Talkwalker, etc. You will support with managing databases, usage of CRM-tools, such as odoo, as well as other tools.

On the occasion of events, coordinated or hosted by the Unit, you will be asked to help with preparations, logistics and promotion (from communication tasks to venue set ups). You will also be involved in evaluation and reporting tasks.
