Publishing Support and Visual Projects Unit

The Directorate-General for Information Technologies and Cybersecurity (DG ITEC) is a trusted partner that empowers the European Parliament by delivering digitally advanced, secure, resilient, compliant and sustainable information and communications technology (ICT) services.

The Publishing Support and Visual Projects Unit (PUBLIPRO) has as mission to support Members, Political Groups and the Secretariat General in the area of design, visuals and print. As part of the PUBLIPRO Unit, you will work alongside our experienced design team.

From the very first weeks, you will work closely with our graphic designers and get hands-on experience. You will have the opportunity to:

• Design and develop print and digital content in line with the European Parliament Brand Book and other guidelines;
• Manage and liaise with clients in order to clarify briefs, follow up on projects, provide advice and inform clients of graphic rules;
• Support the unit's transition to digital publishing, with special regard to accessibility;
• Learn from and collaborate with a team of experienced graphic design professionals, while developing your own skills and experience.

• You have obtained/will obtain a university degree (level 6 of EQF or higher) at least three months before the starting date of the traineeship;
• We are looking for someone with a Bachelor degree in Graphic Design or a related field, advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (at least InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), as well as good communication skills and a genuine interest in new technologies;
• Curiosity and a willingness to keep learning, experimenting and developing your skills are highly valued. Knowledge of digital accessibility and some experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS) would be considered an asset.
